06-13-25 - Goodbye Brian Wilson
I don't really have too much to say on it right now. But I'm sure if you're even midly into music, and watch the news, you'll have heard by now. Brian Wilson has passed away at age 82.
There is a lot I do want to say, but not here, and not now. Just know that for the first time in a long time, expect a show. Also, sad to say, I've heard nothing back about my demo from WHFR, which means exactly what you think it means, I probably won't be getting a show there. Which, y'know, sucks. It is what it is. I'll take those setlists I was working on for WHFR and get them done soon enough. At least that means you get to hear me talk about 107.9 as opposed to 89.3. I'm hoping to give it another go and see if they take me on, just gotta keep trying.
But yeah, that's about it. I was working, on a very early and rough concept for a Dennis Wilson appreciation show, but as I've said before, I've been in and out of it energy wise when it comes to doing these. But I haven't given it up, know that.
I've spent most of the past few days listening to his music and crying. You know, it really isn't that surpising that he's dead, he was at the point in life where you start to degenrate, but still... I can't act like it doesn't break me up.
1942-2025

The long promissed road has come to an end. Goodbye Brian Wilson. Break away and be with your brothers again.

Brian Wilson is the Beach Boys. He is the band. We're his fucking messengers. He is all of it. Period. We're nothing. He's everything.

I believe that music is God's voice.
- Brian Wilson.
I agree.
Here's a few of his gems before I get outta here and go back to crying.
I love this one so much. So much fun.
My favorite song of all time. Goodbye Brian. Thanks for all of the music.
Be cool, be wild, and be groovy. Love and mercy.
